What Is a Compulsory Medical Examination?
A compulsory medical examination (CME) is an independent examination of a person whose injury is at issue in a claim, carried out at the request of one of the parties.
A compulsory medical examination carried out by Dr. Abbasi in the Delray Beach office: history, an orthopedic examination, and a review of the records and imaging provided — followed by a written report addressing the questions put to him.
What You Receive

What the Examination Covers
A history taken directly from the examinee — the mechanism of injury, the symptoms since, the treatment received and the response to it, and the current level of function.
Then a full orthopedic examination of the region in question and of the joints above and below it: inspection, palpation, range of movement, strength, stability, and the specific provocative tests that apply to the structures involved. Findings are recorded as they are found.
What the Report Contains
The records and imaging reviewed, identified. The history as given. The examination findings in full. Then the opinion — addressed to the specific questions in the instruction, with the reasoning shown rather than asserted, so that each conclusion can be traced to something in the file or something found on examination.
Where the evidence does not support a firm conclusion, the report says so. An opinion that overreaches is worth less than one that holds.
