Life’s Too Short to Suffer with Joint Pain

I went to Doctor Abbasi after going to physical therapy for 30 sessions for a medial meniscus tear. The physical therapy definitely helped build strength but still had reduced range of motion and pain for my sport activity which is dancing (ballet, jazz). I wanted to give physical therapy a chance before considering PRP. After speaking with Dr Abbasi who is expertly knowledgeable, I decided to do my first round of PRP. It truly was a breeze, thanks to his medical assistants Karla and Kayla who assisted. Doctor Abassi is a pro at doing PRP. For me, it was as easy as getting a flu shot.. I went back a month later for follow up and concluded my improvement was about 50 to 60% better for pain and overall mobility. I can now sit down in a squat position with both knees to put on my dog’s leash as well as do some yoga movements which I could not do before like a yogi squat. I also have more mobility in my affected knee during dance classes. Dr. Abassi explained that a second round of PRP would likely benefit based on the many patients he has seen and also his own personal experience with PRP. Although there are no guarantees, I feel that it’s worth it in the long run for my quality of life and being able to continue my passion for dance In my retirement. I had my second PRP today and hoping for even more improvement.The office is impeccable and the staff caring and competent. Worth looking into especially if your injury is holding you back from what you love to do or affecting daily routine.

I was lucky to be able to have the BEAR procedure, and while I’m not quite completely out of the woods and cleared to return to normal activity, I’m quite close as I approach the 9 month post-surgery mark in a couple weeks. His attentiveness along the roads of both post-injury and post-surgery was exceptional, as were his explanations of my limitations at all stages of recovery. Moreover, his guidance about what I could and couldn’t do, and how best to do things in such a way that protected the surgical repair and allowed it the time and conditions it needed to heal properly was invaluable to the completeness of my recovery. Went to see the doc with crippling knee pain. Unable to play basketball or barely walk some days. Fist visit did some X-rays and went over some treatment options, got the treatment and was back to playing basketball within weeks! Doc is very knowledgeable, personable and truly cares.
